I am very pleased to say that at last nights council meeting the officer recommendation to proceed with a feasibility study was unanimously supported by council. In fact it passed without so much as a word of debate!!
I will post a more detailed report on last nights meeting later today. Enjoy your breakfast Cyril.

It should not have taken a consultant to tell you what had already been shown in the survey, and a simple phone call to the Albany Hospital and Bodycare, would have given you a fair indication of the numbers travelling from Denmark to undertake hydrotherapy in Albany. We knew there was a need. That money could have been spent on the feasibility study and we would be that much closer to getting a pool.
ReplyDeleteHi Gail,
ReplyDeleteYes I agree with you. Unfortunately as you probably know there is some history to this debate including a prior feasibility study that many people ( including myself ) believe was flawed. This has clouded the issue somewhat for the council. I should also point out to get funding from Sport & Rec for the feasibility study a needs assessment carried out to their satisfaction is required. DACCI did fund 60% of the needs study cost.
